Primary caregivers of elderly family members

This population is defined as people between the ages of 18- 65 years. This patient population can benefit largely from our respite services as most in this category are primary caregivers of their elderly parents and/or their children.

This population also encompasses two sets of adults: the younger adults (18-40). This population consists of adults who are in the developmental stage of intimacy vs isolation. These young adults are at risk of injury if they engage in intimate relationships irresponsibly.
The opposite is also a concern due to the risk of isolation.

The other half of this adult population (40-65) are more concerned about making an impact by engaging with their community affairs while they are trying to be caregivers, and providers for their families which puts them at risk for stress-related health issues. ACUN will assess the holistic need of these middle agers and derive a plan of that tailored to their specific needs; whether it is providing respite care or companionship, we are equipped to meet their needs.
